Visitor is an installation and interactive performance work that investigates the lies of ink. Questioning the history of Uganda and its writers. Revisiting the materiality and spatial-temporal of the country. This work intends to explore the invisible colonial systems that govern the nation. How shall a generation seek path to its originality when the history wasn’t written by their own people and neither was it written for them. The visitors came, conquered, enjoyed the privileges and wrote. They went ahead and designed the ways we live today. Looking at the history like a falcon, being warped by lies and seeking to tress the roots and hosts in questioning of the capitalism. Offering my body here and now to silently pronounce the secrets beneath.
